Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau's exist will - open some loopholes in democratic governance in Nigeria. Bold, yet kind, unassuming but determined, Shekarau worked for Kano and Nigeria with the strength of a lion, the wisdom of a serpent and the dedication of a zealot.

An astute administrator, accomplished bureaucrat, uncompromising unionist and a dedicated teacher, Shekarau brought all his great qualities, attributes and experience to bear in Government. The result was matchless performance, rapid transformation of Kano State and Nigeria in general, provision of infrastructural facilities, employment for the youths, eradication of illiteracy and ignorance, industrialization, good medical facilities, to mention but a few.
